Salem Oregon Boudoir Photographer | ballerina inspired session

My beautiful friend was in my studio one day for a boudoir session. Anyone who has visited my studio knows that I keep a rack of clothing in the corner, with various items on it. I have wedding dresses, lingerie pieces, accessories, and other random things. I’d just picked up this adorable pink lace dress and realized about halfway through our shoot that the dress would probably fit her. Sure enough, it fit. So, I proceeded to treat my friend like a real life dress up doll. Ha! Anyway, I remember exclaiming, “Oh my gosh, you look like a ballerina!” When I took the first shot in front of the window. And her reply? “Oh, I was in ballet growing up.”

Portland Oregon Boudoir Photographer | red lace, tattoos, and a vintage camera

You may recognize this beautiful mama, as I recently posted some b&w images from her boudoir session (click here to view that post). As you may have heard, I recently started incorporating vintage cameras into my boudoir sessions. I have a large collection of them and thought this idea was nothing short of brilliant. 😉 Anyway, I handpick a camera for each client, based on their personality, their wardrobe, or sometimes a combination of the two. Being a photographer herself, there was no question as to whether or not we were going to include a camera into Sandi’s session. No brainer.
I thought the black and red Sabre 620 was just perfect for this session!
Needless to say, she rocked the camera and her session.

Salem Boudoir Studio | Chanda on film

I loved working with Chanda. She is nearly 6ft tall, has amazing curves, striking features, and an amazing personality. She’s confident, playful, funny, and hello, totally gorgeous. I chose film for Chanda’s session because I thought it would suit her look and her personality. I was right. I love the look of these images, as they have sort of a film noir feel to them. I shot these in my natural light studio, using a vintage film camera (Bronica ETRS) and some Fuji Acros 100 film. Thank you to Photovision for doing a great job processing and scanning these for me!
