Portland Film Photographer | fine art boudoir | that gaze

There are a few things I love a out these images…
First, it is timeless. It could have been taken in almost any decade in the last 50+ years. Second is that gaze. Rachel knows how to work the camera. She puts her soul into every image she creates with a photographer. Last is her hands. Traditionally speaking, it is against the portrait “rules” to show the back of the hands like this, but for some reason it just works for me in these shots. Maybe it’s because they show emotion or maybe it’s because this isn’t a traditional portrait.
Or maybe it’s because I’m a rule breaker. ūüėČ2016-07-13_0020

Portland Boudoir Photographer | holiday spirit | christmas boudoir

Hot cocoa, Christmas plaid, and some gorgeous winter light makes for the perfect holiday inspired boudoir session. Shot¬†in the Portland studio, this shoot was super fun. Nicole, one of my talented makeup artists, hopped in front of the camera after doing makeup for other clients throughout the day. Her makeup? Just some red lipstick. Yep, that’s it.
I’m all booked up for 2016 and will be taking some time off to spend the holidays with my family, but I’ll be booking boudoir sessions again, starting in mid-January.
