You may not know this, but I do a little bit of real estate photography (mostly for my best friend, who is an agent). One day I arrived early at a location and it looked like there was a showing, so starting early wasn’t an option. Thankfully there was an estate sale in the neighborhood, so I had a few minutes to go check it out. I usually look for old cameras at Estate sales, since I collect them. This particular house didn’t have any cameras that interested me, but I did run across this amazing dress! It was labeled as a 1910 prom dress and sold as is, with repairs that needed to be made and no lining. Um, hello? MINE! As luck would have it, everything was on sale for half off, since it was the last day!
Anyway, my plan is to make the necessary repairs (by hand, of course!) and then plan a styled shoot featuring this amazing gown. In the meantime, I needed to test out some new fairy lights, so thought it would be fun to have my model, Becca, slip into the dress, even though it’s still in need of repair.
