I know I always say this when Amanda Dant, of Morning Glories Floral, creates an arrangement, but I’m pretty sure this is my new favorite bridal bouquet. Seriously, just look at those colors and the way it cascades!
This fun little session with Jessica and her best friend, Ariel, was held at Jessica’s home in Salem, Oregon. I’ve mentioned this before, but I love short wedding dresses. First of all, it shows off the stems and hello, Jessica’s are ah-mazing. Second, it shows off the shoes. Last, but not least, short dresses don’t get wet and muddy along the bottom hem, which is a very valid concern here in Oregon. This dress, by Doe & Rae, has beautiful scalloped lace detail and a flattering cut. Accessories include some great nude pumps, a vintage broach, and a DIY birdcage veil. Ariel’s adorable pink dress, by Candie’s, is a hi-low style with a cinched waist and pleated top. This style is also super flattering to almost any body type, but of course Ariel would look great in anything. As you can see, the maid of honor bouquet is a mini version of the bride’s bouquet and just really adorable.
I’ve mentioned this a billion times, but I love doing bridal sessions. It gives brides a chance to wear their wedding dress again and in a much more relaxed environment than on their wedding day. Some brides like to book a bridal session prior to their wedding because it means she doesn’t have to worryon her actual wedding day that those images are captured. Wedding in Oregon are unpredictable in terms of weather, so it might be sweltering hot or raining, neither of which is ideal for hair and makeup. So, doing a bridal session on a separate day means we don’t have to worry about those things.
