Salem Oregon Family Photographer | fall mini session | red, white, and blue

With a splash of yellow! This family is so adorable. I did some maternity/family photos of them back in the spring and it was awesome to not only see them again, but to meet their newest family  member! I mean, how cute are her little tights and those big, blue eyes? We had to deal with some rain, but they were tough as nails and I adore them for it.

Portland Family Photographer | beautiful breastfeeding portraits

It’s always fun to meet and photograph other photographers, but it’s even better when they bring their ridiculously cute toddler for breastfeeding portraits. As a former breastfeeding mom, I realized during this session just how much I miss the little details that I took for granted when mine were that age. The excitement they display when they know it’s coming, the playing with their feet, their chubby little fingers, all of it.  Madeline, you and Lilly were beautiful and I’m so happy that I was able to document these moments for you. I wish you all the luck in your overseas endeavors!

Happy Halloween

Anyone who knows me as an artist knows that this is the kind of work that drives me.
It feeds my soul.
This is my art.

I’d like to give a big thank you to my awesome model, Eva Lorelle, for driving an hour each way, after a full day of work at her day job. Then, for standing outside in the rain and cold.

Salem Film Photographer | light leak.

This is what I like to call a happy accident. I was testing out a 35mm film camera and accidentally opened the back of the camera, before the film had been rewound. Oops! Sadly, I lost about 3 shots on the roll. To make up for it, though, I got this awesome shot, which is the result of a light leak (from when I opened the back of the camera). This was taken with a Canon T70 and some very expired Fuji Superia 800 film. Developed and scanned by The FIND Lab, in Utah.
