There is often a moment in a boudoir session, where one of two things happens…
1. I say, “That was the one. My favorite shot.” And I mean it. It doesn’t matter if it’s five minutes into the shoot (although that is rate), halfway through the session, or the last shot of the day. I just KNOW it’s the “the” shot. I can feel it.
2. A sense of calm and serenity comes over the room. Again it can happen at any time during the session, but when it does, we both know it. Sometimes we both say, “whoah.” Sometimes we both cry (TT, you know I’m talking to you). And sometimes words do not need to be spoken. It’s just…felt.
The latter happened this session. The room, despite the music playing, got very quiet and calm. It was peaceful and beautiful.
This shot was taken during that moment. It lasted a few minutes, and then it was as if a change occurred.
As if that moment was a turning point, both literally and figuratively.
Shortly after this, the room was filled with joy and strength and we danced. Literally.
