As promised, here is the rest of this stunning boudoir session, which was held in the Portland studio.
This session was amazing for so many reasons. Too many to list, but I’ll try to hit the bullet points.
The dominating factor during this session was music. It is a huge part of this woman’s life, so it only made sense that it would carry over to her boudoir session. I encourage all of my clients to create a playlist or at least a pandora station for their session. The option to connect your phone or device to speakers is always available, whether you shoot in the Portland studio, the Salem studio, or in your home. You can set the mood for your boudoir session by choosing your own soundtrack, so to speak. This session started off with some slow ballads and worked up to dance music (and dance, we did!). Her taste in music, like most, is very eclectic, which made for a lot of fun. My favorite songs that she chose were the ones that served as inspiration and strength. Songs about rising up, after being down.
The other memorable thing about this session was the beauty. Not just her external beauty, which is apparent by looking at the photos, but her inner beauty. It was breathtaking! Like many of my clients, she booked her session after going through a lot of personal struggles and triumphs. Her strength and attitude were nothing short of astounding. Hell, *I* felt stronger and empowered after leaving this session, just having been around her. There were only three of us in the room. Me, the client, and Abibat, of Tabiba Styles, whom the client has known for years. The vibe was something I can’t really put into words, but I know I’ll never be able to replicate in another session (as it should be). We all danced, laughed, and had moments where we were so overcome with beauty and strength that we almost cried.
Most of all, I developed a friendship with this client. I was part of her journey and like all of my clients, she is part of mine.
Thank you, A, for being the beautiful and inspirational human that you are. Much love.
