Cannon Beach Senior Portrait Photographer - downtown stroll, with a bonus bug!

This girl could not be any cuter and I love that we got so much variety, all in the downtown area of Cannon Beach! I’ve known her since she was born and I can’t believe she’s already graduated from high school (class of 2023).

Salem Oregon Senior Portrait Photographer - Delaney's session at Silver Falls

I had a blast, photographing the adorable Dalaney at Silver Falls State Park last year. This location holds a special place in this senior’s heart, which just made the session all that much more meaningful.

Salem Oregon Family Photographer - indoor fall mini session at the gray lab!

This past fall I offered indoor mini sessions, in addition to my usual outdoor option. Although my own studio is located nearby, the Gray Lab is better suited for families and groups, due to the size. It’s about 3x the size of my studio and they have quite a few different furniture options to choose from. This is the first time I’ve photographed Michiko’s family indoors, so it was a nice change of pace. Plus, we didn’t have to worry about the unpredictable weather (and it was all over the place this day) or getting cold. The sooner we could get her busy teenagers out the door, the better, so this worked out perfectly.

Salem Portrait Photographer - testing, testing, 1, 2, 3

I recently rented a camera to try out for a few days, before possibly purchasing the same model. Although I didn’t end up buying one, I was REALLY happy with how the photos turned out with the Canon R6. Molly, was kind enough to model for some test shots on a COLD November morning and I can’t wait to share the rest! In the meantime, here are a few black & white stunners…

Salem Senior Photographer - BFF mini session!

In keeping with tradition, a couple of smart Moms decided to book a mini session for these besties. You see, these two had their photos taken professionally in Kindergarten, as well as 8th grade, so it only made sense to do it one last time, as they entered their senior year of high school. We even replicated some of their previous poses, such as the “infinity” shot. Kassie & Ryan are not only beautiful, but they’re cold weather troopers too! We met up on a sunny, but CHILLY morning last summer. Despite the low temps, these two were full of energy and smiles.

Time has been flying by like crazy lately and I just can’t believe that these girls are less than two months away from graduating high school! Kassie and Rian…I hope your senior year has been as magical as it could be, all things considered!!

Salem Senior Portrait Photographer - Aleena, Class of 2021

As I mentioned on my sneak peek post, this girl is musical! I got to hear her sing, during her session, and her voice is beautiful! Not only is she gorgeous and talented, she’s also smart and drive. Aleena is graduating a year and a half early from high school! What?! Yep, true story.

Salem Senior Portrait Photographer - B&W sneak peek

I had so much fun photographing this senior. She’s plays guitar and sings…both of which I had the privilege of hearing during our shoot! We walked around the downtown Salem area with her parents, who were SO sweet, while laughing, chatting, and snapping photos. More from this session to come very soon!

Oregon LGBTQIA+ Senior Portrait Photographer - Matt, Class of 2020

In August of 2019, I traveled to Nebraska to do senior portrait’s for my friend’s daughter (you can see some of those photos by CLICKING HERE) . While there, I also met and photographed Matt, who happened to be the aforementioned senior’s best friend. This young adult is well spoken, funny, intelligent (currently at college on an academic scholarship), and really just a nice and easy going person to be around.

Matt is trans, uses he/they pronouns, and is part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Incorporating his rainbow umbrella was totally a given. I mean, an umbrella AND rainbows AND a prism?! Yes, please!

Salem Senior Photographer - Hunter, Class of 2020

Okay, so the moms (as in me and this kid’s mom) basically had to force this session, but it was totally worth it! My son and this guy have been best friends since middle school, so of course he had to come along as an assistant (this was pre-Covid). I even got a behind the scenes shot of him assisting with wardrobe. ;) It was a very early morning session and nobody was really awake, but we got a few real smiles! Aside from the early hour, it was quick and painless…and Mom got some senior portraits!
