Salem Oregon Boudoir Photographer - artsy b&w studio session

This is a throwback to a session I did a long time ago, in my old studio. Since it was one that got lost with my website crash a few years ago, I thought I’d re-blog it.

This was such a fun session, as I played with light, texture, movement, a piece of copper pipe and a prism. Michelle was such a good sport and was so patient with all of the hair flipping and tossing I had her do (repeatedly, lol).

Salem Oregon Maternity Photographer - books, plants, and an adorable baby bump!

Sometimes it’s just too dang hot outside do do a maternity session. This was one of those days, when we had record highs last August. Rather than try to sweat through the heat, we opted to shoot in the studio, where we could all rejoice about the air conditioning.

The parents-to-be brought some of their favorite baby books, their ultrasound images, a baby blanket, and a name sign. I gathered up all of the plants (fake and real) that I could find, and Jessica’s emerald green lace dress tied it all together perfectly.

Salem Portrait Photographer - holiday self-portrait!

Last month, I rented the Gray Lab (a public use studio, near mine) for some holiday mini sessions. The space works SO much better for families/groups than my own studio, plus they have awesome furniture and I didn’t have to do any Christmas decorating! Since I had some extra time leftover, I decided to do some self-portraits. I’m not a fan of being in front of the camera and I’m even less of a fan of sharing photos of myself, but here we are. I force myself to do this every so often, though, both for the practice and to prove my existence, since nobody else in my family ever seems to take any photos.

Anyway, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!
