Salem Boudoir Photographer - sweet studio session with an adorable couple!
This couple is obviously adorable, but what you can’t tell is just how sweet they are! They were both pretty quiet and reserved, but had fun with their session and they were so easy to work with! With couples sessions we usually start by doing a few shots with everyone fully dressed (yes, including me). Not only does this give them time to warm up in front of the camera, but it means you end up with a few shots you can share with friends and family, without making it awkward. HA!
Anyway, we shot this session at Studio 22 in downtown Salem. It’s nice and spacious, with a private changing room in the studio and restrooms down the hall. If you want to book a boudoir session, but you want the “dark and moody” look, let’s chat about location! While this space can be adapted to create images that fit that style, I have other options available (and will soon have a boudoir studio at my house!).
Salem Oregon Boudoir Photographer - black & white studio session, using allll the lights
Earlier this year, I was a guest speaker for one of the advanced photography classes at Chemeketa that another instructor teaches. As part of that presentation, I did some sample shots in our studio at school. I wanted to show our students what they could do in the space that is available to them, using lights that are also available to them. I used natural light, off camera flash, strobe lights, continuous lights, and even a flashlight.
I’ve worked with Ashley many times over the years, so this was a breeze for us, even when I ran into technical/gear challenges.
Thank you for your time and experience, Ashley!
Salem Boudoir Photographer - cozy winter studio session
Salem Oregon Boudoir Photographer - curvy goddess in white
Elizabeth absolutely rocked her session. She brought a lace gown, a cotton top, some thigh high socks, and a confident attitude.
Salem Oregon Boudoir Photographer - pretty in pink with cozy winter light
Adela wore the cutest little lingerie set in a pretty shade of pink. We were fortunate enough to get some of that dreamy winter sunshine I love so much, and it just complimented her whole look. We shot this session at studio 22 in downtown Salem. They have great big windows that are perfect for dramatic light.
Salem Oregon Boudoir Photographer - texture, texture, texture!
Miss K is all about the accessories and textures! She had pearls, sequins, lace, chiffon, mesh, and felt. I love texture, so it made my job all that much more fun. I decided to keep things really simple with the furnishings and background, as to not compete with the beauty of K and all her fabulous textures!
Salem Oregon Boudoir Photographer - lady in red
Kate totally rocked this red lacy bralette/underwear set for her boudoir session at Studio 22.

Salem Oregon Boudoir Photographer - boho + earth tones
Kate was absolutely wonderful to work with. She brought a fun attitude, as well as her smoldering eyes. This session was a beautiful blend of textures, movement and muted colors, in a very simple studio.
Salem Oregon Boudoir Photographer - ruffles, lace, and bows, plus a little bit of dancing
I photographed this session at Studio 22 in downtown Salem. I chose this location because I wanted a very simple, blank slate to shoot in, allowing the sole focus to be on this gorgeous woman. Miss S rocked all black outfits, but mixed it up with a dress, a vintage inspired bloomer set, and then a more traditional black lace lingerie outfit.
Salem Oregon Boudoir Photographer - bridal boudoir with veil
I love bridal boudoir sessions! Did you know that it doesn’t have to be done BEFORE the wedding? Occasionally a bride will book a boudoir shoot months, or even years, after tying the knot. It’s a great way to celebrate an anniversary, or it can just be less stressful to wait until you aren’t in the middle of wedding planning!
Salem Oregon Boudoir Photographer - black and white simplicity (studio)
This stunning woman was one of my wedding clients a few years ago, so we had a great time during her boudoir session. She reminds me of a young Shannen Doherty, from the “Charmed” years.

Salem Boudoir Photographer - keeping it simple
Boudoir clients are often overwhelmed, when trying to decide what to wear. Sometimes it’s best to just stop overthinking it and keep it simple. Grab a button down shirt from your closet (or your partner’s) and call it good!
Salem Boudoir Photographer - fun with fairy lights
This session is from a few years ago, but I love it so much that I wanted to share it again!
Salem Boudoir Photographer - b&w studio boudoir
I had a great time, photographing Anna at my studio. She has the most beautiful eyes and flawless skin! She was also a good sport and agreed to dance and twirl around in one of my studio pieces (which is available to all of my clients),
Oregon Coast Boudoir Photographer - Outdoor Session, with an LGBTQIA+ couple
I think our initial conversation went something like this…
Asil: We’re an LGBTQ couple and would like to do a couples boudoir session in the woods.
Me: Say no more.
To celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary, Asil (they/them) and Hope (she/her) booked a romantic trip to the Oregon Coast. Even though it was December, they insisted on doing an outdoor boudoir session. I, of course, was completely on board with the idea and we all agreed that braving the cold was absolutely worth it. I mean, look at these photos!!
